Below are the 5 top reads for this past month. You enjoyed them once, so enjoy them again!
After seeing this video, Abigail and I thought how we might spend our lives giving rather than taking.
Saddest line of the video? “people 65 and plus… golfing their way into the presence of King Jesus… and you will join them unless you make some radical decisions now.”
Every year I set some whisper goal* in regards to how many book and what types of books I will read. These books will span different genre’s from leadership, comics, theology, fiction/non-fiction, etc. but sometimes, a book grabs you, shakes you to your core, and sets you up for what lies ahead. This has been that book for me. It is one that I’ve recommended the most & will most likely give the most this year – why? because life is not one blessing to another, rather a winding road in which God will see us through – that’s what this book biblically teaches.
Watch the trailer which will give you a good idea of it’s purpose.
You can purchase the book HERE.

*a whisper goal is something I say to myself, and it’s nobody’s business as to what it is. ![]()
Below is a short video of Dr. John Piper sharing his vision of small groups. I found it a great short word.
Ed Stetzer shares some wonderful questions for accountability. He provides some really convicting questions that I think we will try to implement this year – in fact, I’m going to implement it with my accountability partner here in Waco. (he doesn’t know it yet).
Perry Noble gives us three dangerous prayers. This dude is legit. Will you pray these with me?
A Wall Street Journal article on why Sunday School’s are closing at many churches in the country. I have my reasons as to why it’s declining in some churches but I’ll hold those cards close to my chest.
The Resurgence did a post of all the books John Piper has ever written… could I just write one?
enjoy.
