As many of you already know, as a College Ministry, we raised support for PLC this past year. It was an incredible journey and our students responded in amazing fashion. You can read all about it HERE. Sunday morning, Jeremy Courtney emailed me and update to inform us of our next person that we would have the privilege of funding. So, meet Sara.
Sara Muaeed is a 12 year old girl from Kirkuk who suffers from a constriction in her aorta that is making her blood flow dangerously low and she needs repair to her bicuspid valve. The oxygen saturation of her blood is at 82%. In the States children are routinely admitted to the hospital, placed on oxygen, and possibly recommended for surgery when blood-oxygen saturation reaches 90%. Although she lives in Iraq her first language is Turkish. She lives in a very terror-torn part of Iraq (there were four explosions in her city today alone) but she loves to study and spend time with her little sister who also suffers from leg deformities. Sara’s father has been quick to do all that he can for his little girl and we are extremely honored to work with them – and First Woodway College Ministry – to save her life – GOD willing. We would be really honored if you would follow Sara on her journey on Twitter at http://twitter.com/saramuaeed and on the PLC blog: http://preemptivelove.org/blog/. And above all, pray GOD’s kindness and favor on this process. “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.” Prov 20:7.
Will you join us in praying for her? By the time you have read this, she will have already entered surgery (I’m assuming, but it’s a safe bet). Thanks for all those who have contributed…

To the right is the picture of baby Soma. Here surgery is set for early January and we’re hopeful for her full recovery post-operation.
At any rate, we are so pumped to be able to invest in this little girl… no doubt we ended the year on a HUGE note… we’re impacting lives for the sake of the gospel and for the sake of these babies lives as well.
