I would play with these My Little Pony toys

I am a Father of a little girl – and soon to be two girls… and I would have NO problem playing with these My Little Pony Toys. Too bad they cost $720 and $1,150 (and sold out) – but artist Mari Kasurinen has designed these not to play with, rather to show how we are consumers and are materialistic in nature. We buy and customize everything to our individual status – which teaches our children what actually matters to us.

Abigail and I attended Howard Payne University – a campus known for it’s intimacy among students along with the wonderful interaction with the President of the school. We enjoyed our time there and hope many others will too.

I saw these photos of the locker rooms at Oklahoma State University and was VERY impressed. They’ve spent something like 4 million dollars so that it might attract athletes to want to play there… I’d go there; despite it being in OKLAHOMA. Here are some photos of the rooms:

Olive Branch Fan?

If you have any connection with Waco, you have most likely heard of the Olive Branch. This place was one of the first places I ate when we moved to Waco….Not including the Jack in the Box by our hotel/home for the first three weeks of our time here (not a good memory). Anyway, the food is amazing. This past year the Olive Branch moved locations…I think everyone secretly rejoiced when it reopened.

My friend Genevieve does so much designing for local organizations, churches and businesses. She asked me to photograph Waco at night for the new Olive Branch coffee labels. I love getting different projects, but Waco/downtown/nighttime = SCARY! Michael came along…to protect me:)

But here is the final product. I am just honored that they used my photos. Genevieve did a fantastic job of visioning and designing…and well the Olive Branch rocks!

By the way…this is now my husbands favorite coffee.
