I’ve typically got a pretty long list of books that I’m reading at any given point. I’ll just highlight two books I’m currently reading and why I’m reading them:
This is a book by Tony Morgan. This book will help you ask question after question about how you do church/ministry. This book isn’t written in a traditional manner – so if you like total structure (10 chapters with 10 focused topics) don’t even think about picking this book up. What I love about this book is that he’ll mention something and I’ll set the book down and think about 15 different ways to do what we do.
This is a book by G. K. Chesterton. He has made me fall back in love with Philosophy. This is a wonderful introduction to the life of St. Thomas Aquinas… no really it is. To be completely honest, I bought this book because of the title. Yes, I’m that shallow – but it teaches us the value of a good title.
