We’ve had an exciting weekend with Ben Moore Band and Jason Boyett visiting us. It was an amazing time of teaching and worship through song. Boyett was a great change of pace – we really appreciate his teaching. Boyett has written several books and I would like to reccommend all of them – they are witty and well written. Pictured below is one of those books, while it isn’t THE Bible it is on the Bible. Worth your time. (if you like it so much by picture alone, click the picture and you can buy it!).
Ben Moore Band are a group of really gifted and talented musicians, but more importantly great hearts. Dave and his wife Katie along with their son Deacon (I have a great respect for this guy and his heart); Jacob (this guy plays every instrument EVER – even the accordian); and Ben (really good buddy from my days at IABC).
Today (Thursday) we’re leaving for HPU Homecoming. We’re staying out at our favoirte place to retreat. Star of Texas. And then we’ll head back after lunch on Friday for a concert of sorts at JR & Chels home w/ BSSL. Abby has a wedding on Saturday and I’m traveling with Aaron Baggett to Waxahachie for the Texas Country Reporter Festival. We’ll be visiting my father-in-law who was actually on the program, Texas Country Reporter. It should be fun.
Abby’s dad (Andy) is a very gifted artist of bronze sculpturs. He works tirelessly and it pays off. So, we get to see him. Pictured below is a piece of his work.
That is all.
